Along with visions of Hollywood and California's good life, the museum dedicates space to another iconic piece of California history--the Gold Rush. The history gallery features a replica of a store where miners might have shopped, and photos of the diverse crowd the Gold Rush brought to California. Over in the art museum, a sculpture by Chinese artist Zhan Wang called "Gold Mountain Collection" references the same period in California history.
