Why are you running for School Board? I have been on the Board of Education for twenty years, and am now the President of the California School Boards Association. I have dedicated my adult professional life to public education and want to continue to serve our community.
Why should Mission residents vote for you? The needs of Mission schools and all highly challenged schools, mostly in the southeast quadrant, are my highest priority. I have supported the Weighted Student Formula and STAR program that have brought more resources to these schools. I voted to support the teachers in the Mission Superintendent's Zone. I have lived in Bernal for forty years and the greater Mission is my neighborhood.
